Yes I did say using Facebook for business!  Many times when I am speaking in front of a group about Social Media for business or providing Social Media consulting services to one of our clients and Facebook comes up I often get a blank stare.  It seems many business owners do not understand how they can receive referrals, new customers, and new business from facebook.

Facebook is the #1 website online.  More people are on Facebook then any other website, it’s where people are spending time.  As a business owner you want to position yourself and your business where people spend their time.  This makes Facebook a very important tool which could generate a huge amount of referrals for you and your business.

Why Should My Company Use Social Media?

by Alan Underkofler on May 20, 2010

I was just asked this question today from a new client.  Why should my company use Social Media?  The person asking intuitively knows their company should be using Social Media specifically a company blog, Linkedin, Facebook, and why-highway-signTwitter.  And the reason why they know they should be more active in Social Media is because they are seeing their customers use Social Media more and more.  Customers are viewing Facebook and Twitter on their iPhone, Driod phone, and now of course their iPad.

So, what does a Mother’s Day Martini (see recipe below) have to do with your social media strategy? Well, that depends on how you use it.  But, if you read our Candy Cane Martini Post  or the April Fool’s Martini Post you will know where we are heading!

A big part in making the perfect martini is about taking the time to measure!  Too much Vodka or Gin to the wrong martini lover can send someone over the edge.  And guess what?  A big part in desigPink-Martinining the perfect Social Media Strategy is about measuring!
