We’re Alerting You About “Google Alerts”!

I am sure you have heard of that little search engine called Google, but there’s another easy and powerful tool that so many people aren’t taking advantage of yet.   Have you started using Google’s oh so powerful cousin the Google Alerts?  If you haven’t, stop waiting!google-alerts-spy

What is a Google Alert?  According to our friends at Wikipedia Google Alerts is a content monitoring service or what we call in social media, a listening tool.  Google Alerts will automatically notify you of new content published online as news, in a website, blog, or video based on your key word or phrase.

Ahhh… Finally!! Labor Day is almost here.  Time to start planning for a long weekend to say goodbye to another great summer.

You’ve been working hard so prepare for a relaxing break but before you go plop down in your lawn chair, there are some things you’ll need: sunglasses, flip-flops, and a Hawaiian Martini. We can’t all go to Hawaii on our holiday but we sure can treat our taste buds to an exotic drink. Sip that fruity, fun drink and mull over the things that make your vacation day perfect.  What words would you use to describe that luscious holiday?

The Four Stages to Twitter Relationships

It might be hard to believe but many business owners still have the impression twitter is just a waste of time.  They truly don’t understand how using twitter will have a positive impact on their business.  So the question you may be asking yourself is, how you start attracting new customers and prospects from twitter?  The answer is my building relationships!  It all starts with building relationships and on twitter there are a few different stages.

The recent full page color ad in USA Today shows a brilliant example of using New Media i.e. Social Media, specificallytridentlayers Twitter and Traditional Media i.e. advertising in the USA Today.  Trident Gum is doing what many brands are implementing with TV advertising, pulling viewers or in this case readers into different media outlets by cross promoting them in advertising.

When working with our Social Media Marketing clients at Square Martini Media we often discuss all current advertising methods and create ways to pull them together.  By linking different audiences or fans across multiple media platforms you create a synergy in your marketing efforts and increase the overall impact.   This is a major part in our clients marketing and Social Media strategy and should be included in yours.
